Jesus Hospital

Built between 1623 and 1628, these grade 1 listed almshouses and chapel were taken over in 2010 by Hall & Ensom’s long-standing client, the Donnington Hospital Trust.  Since then David Ensom has designed and overseen various works of repair and refurbishment, including the installation of a new central heating system throughout the 19 residences and in the chapel.  Subsequently the extensive warden’s accommodation has been modernised and sub-divided to create improved accommodation and an additional almshouse.

All the work has been carefully researched and designed, and given Listed Building Consent by  the local authority after consultation with Historic England.
