The Brief

cumberland6 250In a joint exercise, Hall and Ensom and Brading Butt have recently completed a detailed maintenance survey of this prestigious listed building in Windsor Great Park.  The inspection included the main building and a number of associated separately listed buildings including conference facilities and staff housing.  We have provided the client with a fully costed forward maintenance plan, covering the next 20 years.  The charitable trust who run the lodge as tenants of Her Majesty the Queen, maintain the building to a very high standard and our report will be a useful management tool in forward planning significant items of maintenance and repair to the unique group of historical and listed buildings.

cumberland4 250The main building dates back to the mid 17th century and was historically the home of the Ranger of Windsor Great Park.  Over the centuries it has been home of members of the Royal Family and was recently used as a location for the filming of The King’s Speech.
